Tyler Frisbie
As a teenager, Tyler began working at a waste and recycling facility in Dallas, Texas. He started in the warehouse and rode shotgun on garbage trucks before moving into customer service, where he discovered his passion for serving people and building relationships.
From there, Tyler worked his way up through the Balcones Resources organization, now Circular Services, the largest independent recycling company in North America. Over his 14 years with Balcones, he ultimately became Vice President of Sales & Marketing, working with Fortune 1000 companies to implement creative landfill diversion strategies across the United States.
During that same season, Tyler attended night school and started a lawn business on the side to help provide for his young family. Through hard work, determination, and a relentless commitment to serving others, he became the company’s top sales producer and began developing the extensive professional network that would later become the foundation of his executive search career.
Throughout his time in the industry, Tyler gained deep, hands-on experience across commercial recycling and waste services, plastics recycling, electronics recycling, metals recycling, glass recycling, document and product destruction, and various waste-to-energy initiatives. While working two full-time jobs, he earned his B.A. in Business Management from LeTourneau University.
In the spring of 2012, Tyler left the security of his corporate role and, together with his wife, Heather, invested their entire life savings into a recruiting franchise with Global Recruiters Network (GRN based in Chicago). That leap of faith became Frisbie Search Partners, LLC dba – GRN McKinney.
Since then, Tyler has built one of the most respected executive search brands in the environmental services sector across North America. Today, his firm is the leading independent executive search firm specializing in VP-level and above roles within environmental services, with a total economic impact exceeding $500 million to date.
Tyler is happily married to his wife, Heather, and is the proud father of two daughters, both of whom now work alongside him in the business. He is also a proud grandfather to one granddaughter. Tyler joined Pinnacle Society in April 2019, where he is honored to be part of an elite consortium of the top independent recruiters in North America.
