Bio:
Boris Epstein graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Biology and before embarking on the corporate world he considered careers in law, medicine, dentistry and just about anything else you could think of. After sweating it out in corporate america for one year and confirming that he never again wanted to work for a large company (unless it was one that he built himself), Boris decided to partake in the hi-tech boom by starting a web/multimedia development firm called diceMedia (still in business today). Two years later, Boris parted ways with diceMedia, fell into recruiting by complete accident and never looked back. Within one year, Boris led his 5-person company in activity and total deals and knew that he found his professional calling.
With a lot of confidence, a gleam in his eye and some borrowed money, he knew it was time to make his mark on the recruiting world and that’s when he founded BINC (www.bincsearch.com). Since that time in 2002, he has enjoyed two hiring booms and survived two recessions. He spent his first 8 years cutting his teeth as a contingency recruiter earning himself a reputation as the go to recruiting partner for many of the industry’s leading technology start-ups and established organizations. He’s had the pleasure of working with amazing companies, founders, managers, and of course engineering and product talent. He’s seen the marketplace evolve from enterprise and ecommerce to web 2.0, social networking and social gaming to our current market of social commerce, enterprise 2.0, mobile apps, next-gen media delivery, cloud computing, big data, fast data, social filtering and more.
No question, he loves his work. He thrives in high stakes and high pressure environments and loves the thrill of success. He is passionate about recruiting and is incessantly connected to his marketplace.
Now he leads BINC into the future as a hybrid recruiting engine and couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity ahead of them.
